Pick you up from Airport in Cusco (3350 m.a.s.l) . let us know the arrival time of your flight to wait for you at Airport!

After you meet our representative, you and the tour guide will go in private transportation to Ollantay tambo town our first stop (2790 m.a.s.l). This Andean town gives you the opportunity to share closely the peasants' customs and bargain with vendors at the typical Inca market and also we will visit the beautiful inca site of Ollantay tambo

After lunch you will go to your hotel located at the Sacred valley, it will help you acclimatize to the altitude of the Andes. After you check in at the hotel and enjoy the typical coca tea you have a free afternoon to adjust to the altitude

Breakfast at hotel. The day starts with an early morning rise to transfer to train station, where you can take the train to Aguas Calientes (1:45minutes ride)

You will a 25 minutes bus up to visit Machu Picchu (2430 m.a.s.l) also known as "The Lost City of the Incas", discovered for science in 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham.

We tour the ruins for around 2 hours private guide, during which time our guide explains the astounding degree of technology achieved by the builders of this famous site. The tight construction, the Intihuatana, (or "Hitching Post of the Sun"), which served as an astronomical calendar, all show technological advancement far beyond anything this area of the world was thought to have achieved. all allow us to glimpse back into the past of these truly remarkable people.

After Machu Picchu Inca site, back to Aguas Calientes town in order to get lunch and take the train back to Ollantay tambo.

After breakfast at the Hotel, we take our transportation 45 minutes up hill to the Community of Willoq,

According to historians, the people of Willoq, with their traditional red ponchos and shawls, are the direct descendants of the last rulers of imperial Cusco, and remain today one of the Andean communities least affected by Western influence. The Willoq community is also well known for its weavers and the quality of its textiles - still a product of patience, knowledge and the skilled weaver. The primitive back strap loom, unaltered for centuries, is still used to weave even the finest textiles.

We will have the opportunity to learn the techniques used in the preparation of their materials, the raw material used and the use of natural dye.

After breakfast at the community, You and the tour guide will go ahead, and visit Moray (agricultural experiment Inca station), and after this stop, continue to visit the Salineras of Maras (Inca salt mines - evaporation ponds ).

We leave the sacred valley behind and we start climb the mountains in order to arrive to Cusco City, the Ancient Capital of the Inca Culture.

We start 5am, our transportation will take us for about 3 hours ride to the lower part the beautiful rainbow mountain, from this point you need to walk 2 hours to the top of the Rainbow mountain for a spectacular picture of the place.

You always have the option to ride a horse for the part of the trail that takes to rainbow mountain (5200 m.a.s.l)

Visit the Main Square of Cusco and the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful places in Peru, the artwork by Goldsmith and silversmiths is just amazing.

The Temple of the Sun - Qorikancha, Its walls and floors were once covered in sheets of solid gold, and its adjacent courtyard was filled with golden statues

Then, we drive out of the City to visit the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its enormous carved stones, some of them standing over 9 m / 30 ft high and weighing over 350 tons, Our Cusco tour will end at the San Pedro Market where you can a appreciate the typical market of Cusco City.

After the guided tour we return to your hotel.

What you need to bring/carry:
• Daypack
• Rain jacket or poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco for a few dollars)
• comfortable footwear
• Sweater and jacket (something warm)
• Water bottle and purification tablets (Micropur are recommended and can be bought in local pharmacies in Cusco)
• Hat or cap to protect you from the sun
• Sun block (sun protection cream)
• Insect repellent
• Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries
• You also need to bring your original passport

Suggestions

1- If you are planning to travel to Cusco during the months of December to March, we recommend to bring with you a rain gear since we start the rainy season over here.
However, April to November are the months of dry season, we have sunny days but cold nights

2- If you live at sea level, and planning to visit Cusco, you might experience the Altitude sickness, Cusco is located at 3350 meters about sea level. We recommend a local remedy called mate de coca, it is tea made from coca leaves. This is helpful, but by no means a cure.
Acetazolamide (Diamox ) is drug that has shown good results as prophylaxis and treatment of AMS ( soroche o mal de altura ) It is a prescription drug used in the treatment of glaucoma, and as a diuretic.

3- Hiking boots for the following tours, Rainbow mountain, Inca trail, Salkantay and Choquequirao

4- Light dinner for the first night of your arrival to Cusco. Since the elevation of Cusco slow down the digestion

5- You don´t need to bring a lot cash to Peru since you can withdraw USA Dollars at most ATMs across the country Visa,Master Card,Cirrus, American Express and Diner's Club,etc) Most ATM machines in Peru do not add any charge for withdrawing money from your home bank account, but your own bank might.
